As part of the Andrew Young School's mission to promote excellence in the analysis, design and implementation of public policy, the International Studies Program annually organizes an international conference to bring together senior policy experts, academics, and policy makers around an important policy theme. The International Studies Program of the Andrew Young School and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy will be hosting a conference on Property Tax in April 2008 at the Evergreen Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Previous conference themes included:
The selection of speakers and invited attendees have varied from year to year based on the conference theme but have included Richard Bird, Richard and Peggy Musgrave, and Charles McLure (2001); Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Paul Smoke, and Anwar Shah (2002); Milka Casanegra, William Fox, Matthew Murray, Friedrich Schneider and Victor Thuronyi (2003). The conference is generally held each spring outside Atlanta at The Evergreen Conference Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia. For more information, please contact Mr. Paul Benson.
