Choosing Municipal Autonomy Or Not; Quebec's 2004 Demergers

The third brown bag lecture will feature the topic: "Choosing Municipal Autonomy Or Not; Quebec's 2004 Demergers", which entails presentation of evidence on the role that the expected tax cost of a municipal organizational choice – to remain merged or to de-merge- played in the decision of voters in Quebec , Canada in 2004. We first present the institutional context, then the data used to carry out the multivariate analysis and finally the results of said analysis. The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, November 08, 2007 at 11:30 am in seminar room 749, at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
