Eunice Heredia-Ortiz

Eunice Heredia is a Research Associate and a Ph.D. graduate of the Andrew Young School. Her research interests include public finance, public policy, local governments and institutions, and sub-national government performance. Heredia has been involved in different research projects and training programs involving fiscal decentralization, intergovernmental fiscal relations, fiscal reform policy, local governance, fiscal management, corruption, and sub national governments fiscal risks. She has contributed to numerous reports including a report on fiscal reform for the Government of India, a report on the link between fiscal decentralization and poverty reduction, and has co-facilitated a training course on fiscal decentralization for government officials in Bangladesh and East Timor. She has also co-facilitated a training session on the delivery of decentralized public education to government officials from various countries. Her dissertation research focused on the formulation and implementation of policies concerning education decentralization, school financing, testing and assessment, and accountability in industrialized and developing countries.
