Budgeting, Fiscal Management and Revenue Forecasting Course, 2001 The Budgeting, Fiscal Management and Revenue Forecasting Course focused on enhancing government officials’ knowledge of recent trends in budgetary reforms, including multi-year budget processes, performance-based budgeting, and devolution of budgetary functions within financial management structures. Participants received hands-on training in applying financial analysis tools, resolving financial management problems and assessing local government fiscal capacity. The second half of the course focused on enhancing participants' revenue forecasting skills through a structured sequence of lectures and workshops on econometric forecasting and microsimulation techniques. We hope that the course in Atlanta was only the beginning of an ongoing relationship with each of the course participants. As new alumni of the Andrew Young School, we hope that they will stay in touch with us as well as each other, and we hope to work with them in the future.
