Participants of this training program are responsible for securing funding for their participation. Participants are typically funded by their government (e.g., Ministry of Finance) or through bilateral or multilateral development agencies. Examples of multilateral development agencies are the United Nations Development Program, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Inter-American Development Bank. The most practical approach to locate funding opportunities is by contacting the Mission or Country Office of these development agencies located in your country. The Country Office or Mission should be able to tell you if ongoing projects are able to provide funding for the training course, or they will refer you to the officer who handles such requests for their organization. For your convenience, links are provided below to the directories of country officers for a variety of development agencies. This list will be periodically updated. In order to provide an incentive for donor agencies to provide funding, a limited number of matching funding opportunities are available. Within available resouces, the Andrew Young School will seek to offer a matching scholarship for a participant if a donor agency provides funding for one or more participants. Please contact Dr. Jamie Boex for additional information.
